Welcome to Built on Layers LLC. By accessing our website or making a purchase through our store, Instagram, Etsy, or in person, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

 

1. Custom Products and Materials

All items created and sold by Built on Layers LLC are handcrafted using tools such as 3D printing, laser engraving, and vinyl cutting. Each item is made individually, which means slight variations or imperfections may occur. These are natural results of handmade processes and are not considered defects.

 

2. 3D Prints – Use and Limitations

All 3D printed items are inspected prior to distribution to ensure they meet our quality standards. Prints are made using materials such as PLA and, in some cases, PETG, depending on the design and purpose.

These materials are suitable for light handling and decorative or casual use. However, they are not intended for heavy-duty applications or long-term functional use.

3D prints should be kept out of direct sunlight and heat. Materials like PLA and PETG can warp, soften, or deform in high temperatures, especially if left in hot environments such as parked vehicles or near heat sources.

We are not responsible for:

• Cracks, breaks, or failures caused by drops, pressure, or rough handling

• Warping or softening due to heat exposure or sunlight

• Long-term surface changes or deterioration from moisture, age, or environmental conditions

• Any injuries or damages caused by the use or misuse of 3D printed items

 

3. Laser Engraved Items

Laser-engraved products may include wood, acrylic, leather, and other materials. Natural variations in grain, color, or finish may occur. These materials are not sealed unless specifically stated.

We are not responsible for:

• Scratches or fading due to handling or environmental exposure

• Natural aging or discoloration of organic materials

• Any injuries or damages caused by contact with engraved edges or materials

 

4. Vinyl Products

Vinyl is applied with care using high-quality adhesive materials. Over time, it may experience wear depending on conditions and usage.

We are not responsible for:

• Peeling or bubbling due to surface prep or exposure

• Fading, cracking, or lifting from sunlight, water, or abrasion

• Improper application or damage caused during installation

• Any injuries or damages related to adhesive use or vinyl surfaces

 

5. Tumblers and Drinkware

We do not manufacture tumblers or drinkware products. Items of this type are purchased from third-party suppliers and customized by Built on Layers LLC using engraving, vinyl, or other decorative methods. For full product specifications, safety details, or care instructions, please refer to the original manufacturer’s documentation or terms of service.

Unless clearly labeled as food-safe, all tumblers or cup-style items are for decorative use only. Do not drink from or store liquids in them unless explicitly stated.

We are not responsible for:

• Leaks, rust, odor, or internal residue over time

• Damage caused by dishwasher or microwave use

• Long-term wear such as discoloration, peeling, or seal failure

• Any injuries related to the use of drinkware not intended for consumption

 

6. No Warranty Provided

All products are sold as-is with no warranty, express or implied. We do not guarantee product longevity or performance beyond what is described at the time of purchase.

 

7. Safety Notice

• Products are not toys and should be kept out of reach of children and pets

• No item should be eaten, chewed, or ingested

• No item should be used as a dish, cup, utensil, or food container unless specifically stated as safe for food use

• Built on Layers LLC is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or allergic reactions related to any product

 

8. Limitation of Liability

Built on Layers LLC is not liable for:

• Any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or misuse of our products

• Any personal injuries, property damage, or losses related to any item we create or sell

• Product failures or performance issues due to user handling or environmental conditions

• Purchasing a product from us means you accept full responsibility for its use once it has been delivered or handed over in person.
